Linebacker Troy Walker said his mental focus comes from his lack of cellphone usage leading up to the game in order to stay in the moment.

He gets to the locker room a half-hour before the team has to be there, sits, and thinks.

This paid off last week in B-A’s win against Mount Union, 42-0. Walker had 4 solo tackles, 8 in total. He also had an interception in the first quarter, which he returned for a touchdown.

Walker plays fullback and linebacker for B-A. He said his favorite part of football is the bond he gets to make with his  teammates ever year. He enjoys playing linebacker most of all because defense is his favorite side of the football.

In his free time Walker likes to play basketball, baseball, video games, and hang out with friends. He is a member of the varsity baseball and basketball teams.

Walker said his drive to play comes from  hitting, and the amount of focus and skill it requires to perform tasks on the football field, as well as the passion it takes to keep playing.

The Blue Devils are 7-1 heading into this week’s game against 7-1 Tussey Mountain. Troy has 28 total tackles on the season, along with 107 rushing yards on 22 carries.
