Mrs. Trexler: When my first grade students collaborated with Mr. Trexler’s sixth grade students.
After speaking with Mrs. Trexler, we asked Mr. Trexler some similar questions.
Question 1: What is your favorite part about working in the same school as Mrs. Trexler?
Mr. Trexler: My favorite part about working with my wife is that we collaborate together, and we work well together. It’s nice to have her down the hall. She’s always someone I can bounce ideas off of.
Question 2: What is the hardest part?
Mr. Trexler: There isn’t a hard part. We get to drive together so we can talk about our day and share what happened. There’s nothing bad. It’s all good.
Question 3: Would you rather teach sixth grade and have Mrs. Trexler run the media center, or do you like your current position?
Mr. Trexler: Each job has its benefits to it, there are pros and cons. I do think I’d work very well with my wife on my team because we work very well together. We work well together as a couple, so we’d work well together as a teaching team.
Question 4: Did you plan to work in the same district?
Mr. Trexler: We tried. It’d be great because we’d go to school at the same time and come home at the same time. We love the Bellwood District, and I knew it was good so I wanted to bring her in.
Question 5: What is the best thing you and Mrs. Trexler have gotten to do together in school?
Mr. Trexler: The best thing is we have made some of the best friends of our lives working together, and we get to work on the same projects together. I always have a partner that I
know is willing to be a team player in everything I do. She supports me with all of my challenges.
