There are some interesting mascots in our beautiful world. These are mascots that I thought were not-so-thought out and were hilarious.

The Orphans- Centralia High School, Illinois
This one was one of the ones I felt that people didn’t think through. There is no reasoning on why this is the mascot of the school, but I would like one. Their logo is a boy in a basketball uniform that says ORPHANS on it. It is one of the weirdest things that I have heard of as a mascot. I’m honestly not even sure if I would call it a mascot, but that is must just be me.

The Poca Dots- Poca High School
I would like to start this off by saying that this high school is in the town of Poca, West Virginia. It was a creative way to go, but it is a really lame mascot. It is a giant, red circle that looks like it will murder you in your sleep. I’m sure they could have come up with something better than this. I guess this school had one too many comedians when coming up with the mascot. I think that it fell a little flat.

The Midgets- Freeburg High School
This is one of the most unfortunate school mascots that I have ever heard of, more so than the Orphans. I’m not sure I would want to go to a school that says “Home of The Midgets” wherever you walk. Not that it is a really mean term, just that it is an odd and not so tough mascot. It honestly looks like something you would see out of The Wizard of Oz. Not threatening in the slightest. I think if the logo looked tougher, I wouldn’t mind. When you think of a mascot, it isn’t supposed to be cute. But, more power to them.
