4. Hootie and the Blowfish
Although this band is widely popular to anyone who was generally alive in the early to late 1990’s and early 2000’s. Everyone loved Hootie and the Blowfish until their lead singer decided to go country. Once lead singer, Darius Rucker, came out with his own solo country album, lots of people immediately started hating and tanking on his new music. Although Hootie and the Blowfish are back now and are actually going on a reunion tour, they got a lot of backlash for Darius Rucker once he left.

3. Hole
My God I hate Courtney Love. No offense to any of you Hole fans but Hole was pretty much ruined the day that it was formed. Not a lot of people really liked Courtney Love before she met her future husband, Kurt Cobain, but once those two got married, of course a lot of the fan girls who loved Kurt Cobain but didn’t mind Hole immediately started to hate on Hole. Hole wasn’t even that good in the first place, but I guess they belonged on this list, right? Plus people who believe in the theory that she’s the one who actually murdered Kurt, hate her even more. So that really helps out your fan base.

2. Black Sabbath
Most of you may be surprised to see that Black Sabbath is on this list since I’ve been giving them so much credit for being a metal icon. But once Black Sabbath decided to kick lead singer, Ozzy Osbourne, out of the band in 1979 and replaced him with new lead singer, Ronnie James Dio, everybody lost interest in Black Sabbath. Although Black Sabbath had an extremely valid reason to fire Ozzy. Ozzy was always on drugs and alcohol and made excuses on why he couldn’t sing. That was the reason they couldn’t make a new record which ultimately lead to his firing from Black Sabbath.

1. Metallica
Yeah, I know. Metallica had some good quality albums in the 1980’s and 1990’s. But have you heard their mid-2000’s music? Most Metallica fans know about this story but I’m here to explain it to those who don’t know it. Metallica’s last album before 2003 was “Reload,” so obviously they were starting to go downhill from there since a lot of people hated the “Load” and “Reload” era. Anyways, after the “Reload” album, bassist, Jason Newsted, left Metallica saying that the band was “dead.” So not only was Metallica down a bassist, but they were out of rhythm, good tunes, and metal quality. Metallica went through this major struggle with making their 2003 album “St. Anger,” and continuously fought in the studio while making the album. They had to get a therapist. But after some therapy they were finally able to come out with the horrendous album, “St. Anger,” which is literally their worst album they’ve released. It’s on charts for being the worst. Years went by and they continued to produce albums, 2008’s “Death Magnetic” wasn’t really good either, but it was better than “St. Anger,” but their newest album is what really what put them back on the edge, “Hardwired…To Self-Destruct.”
