Bocce team members Tyler Long, Brodee Wyland and Kaylee Kasper were happy with the team’s win over Hollidaysburg.

The victory put the squad one win away from qualifying for a state championship berth.

“I think the students are doing very well especially at this last match. Everybody did their job and the team has really come together,” said bocce coach Brandon Stewart.

The next meet the team will play is next Monday at Hollidaysburg against the Central Dragons. The meet starts at 3:30.

If BA wins this upcoming championship game, they will advance to states in Hershey, PA.

“It would be really exciting. The whole team has been very competitive throughout the season,” said Stewart.

The unified bocce team is a collaboration between regular and special education students sponsored by the special Olympics.
