Bellwood-Antis Softball will be going into their 2019 season looking to improve from last season with a winning record.

Bellwood finished 2018 with a 2-14 record, with their only wins against Moshannon Valley and Williamsburg.

“We hope top build on our season from a year ago. We are looking to be more game savvy. We are looking to win games and grow the entire season,” said Coach Jim Payne.

The Lady Devils have a lot of room to improve with their team losing catcher Kaitlyn Knisley. Seniors Jesteliyn Heaton, Ashtyn Payne, and Christina Taylor will be the leaders this year.

“As always, we want to grow as a team. Our goals are always the same build all season and compete in the district tournament,” said Coach Payne

Junior Faith Patton has been a great team player getting hits when her team needed them and getting stops to stop the other team’s offense.

“Absolutely, being a young team last team last year we took our lumps, but this year we will know how to win and finish game,” said Coach Payne.
B-A will play their first game March 26th travelling to Claysburg.
