Yesterday the Boys and Girls track team took on Bedford at their home turf in the season’s first meet.

Bellwood-Antis’s boys had plenty of first place finishers, but a big part of the meet that led them to their defeat was  hard-fought relay races.

The Devils ended up taking a rough opening loss 84-66, falling in the 3200, 400 and 1600 relays to the Bisons.

Shawn Wolfe (100, 200 dash), Dylan Wilson (110, 300 hurdles), and Joe Wertz (shotput, discus) were all first-place finishers in their events.

The girls team came out with two first place finishers with senior, Jenna Bartlett (1600, 3200) and Jadyn Shuke (pole vault).

The girls lost 100-50 against Bedford as well.
