Yesterday the Lady Devil took on Mount Union and had to come back from the Lady Trojans leading 5-0.

The Devils believed and rallied for the 9-6 victory in Bellwood.

“We have been competitive for the last couple of games. We just needed to finish,” said Coach Jim Payne.

Pitcher Haley Schmidt was tagged for five runs in the first, but B-A responded and finished strong, scoring five over the fifth and sixth to pull out the win.

Faith Patton and Krystina Taylor each added 3 hits for the Devils and drove in 3 runs.

“Anytime you’re competing, let alone beating,  program like Mount Union, you take pride in those efforts,” said Payne.

The Lady Devils will face Moshannon Valley, Tuesday of next week.
