Sydney Lechner reached a career milestone against Glendale with 1,000th career assist.

Last night the Lady Blue Devils volleyball team secured its first win of the season in a straight sets win over Glendale.

After coming off of a loss on Tuesday the Lady Blue devils were firing on all cylinders. B-A won 25-18 in both the first and second sets before closing it out with a 25-21 victory in the third.

With a team high 26 assists, senior Sydney Lechner boosted herself into a prestigious group of Lady Blue Devils with 1,000 career assists.

“Reaching 1,000 assists is really important to me because I’ve worked really hard and this shows the hard work I’ve put in,” said Lechner.

It was a standout night for a few Lady Blue Devils, one being senior Sakeria Harleson, who led the team with 10 kills and 3 blocks. Senior, Bella Kies also had a big night contributing, 5 digs.

“It feels good that the team is back on track after the close loss to Juniata Valley,” said Kies.

The Lady Blue Devils now hold a 1-1 record overall and in the ICC heading into their next game at West Branch on Tuesday.
