Last night the Lady Blue Devils volleyball team suffered another tough loss at home to Everett.

The Lady Blue Devils lost  3-1 giving them a record of (2-3) on the season.

Today the Lady Blue Devils travel to Claysburg in hopes of getting a win to put them back on track.

“A win tonight will be huge, we need to get it done in order to get back on track,”said freshman, Hailee McConnell.

B-A got off to a hot start, downing the Lady Warriors 25-10 in the first set before being pushed to a tie-breaker in the second, which the Lady Devils lost 33-31. The undefeated Warriors then cruised in the third and fourth sets, winning 25-10 and 25-18.

Even though they couldn’t secure the win, three Lady Blue Devil seniors had big games last night. Karlie Feathers and Bella Kies each had 10 kills, and Sydney Lechner had an astounding 30 assists.

Soccer loses to BEA

The Tyrone-Bellwood-Antis co-op soccer team was riding a three-game win streak going into their Monday night game vs Mountain League opponent Bald Eagle Area.

Unfortunately, the win streak ended at three as they lost by a low score of 2-1 in an overtime thriller.

Bellwood senior Corey Johnston had the lone goal for the co-op soccer team, making his goal total six on the year.

It was 1-1 in the second half before BEA scored a late goal for the win.
