ARTIST OF THE WEEK: Olivia Gregg
January 21, 2020
Our Artist of the Week is Olivia Gregg. She has been noticed by Mrs. McNaul for excelling in high school art class.
Olivia enjoys art because there are little restrictions and you can decide what you want for your art.
She decided to take it because she enjoyed the projects that were involved and her brother, Hunter Gregg, advised her to take the class.
Olivia is planning to continue in this class as long as it fits her schedule.
Mrs. McNaul says, “Olivia Gregg has taken the high school art room by surprise. As a freshman, she has demonstrated artistic disciplines well past her years. In her latest project, an alter-ego weave drawing, Olivia chose colored pencils to complete the look. Her impeccable blending and layering of various colors created a work that feels like it was printed from a computer. Olivia’s colored pencil techniques earned her artwork to be the current Instagram profile picture for the High School Art account (bahs.art.912).”
Olivia is an accomplished gymnast competing out of LTD in Altoona and is also involved in FCA and Renaissance.
