On Saturday the boys basketball team traveled to Southern Fulton.

The Blue Devils started off strong through the first and second quarter, leading by 2 at the half, but they  couldn’t keep the momentum going into the second as they fell 56-43.

Zach Mallon and Zach Miller were the leading scorers for the Blue Devils with 10 apiece, followed by Connor Gibbons with 9, and Troy Walker with 8.

The loss puts the Blue Devils at 10-10 on the season, and 10-3 in the conference. The Devils are currently tied for the No. 7 seed in the upcoming District 6 3A playoffs.

“I think our expectations were a little bit higher than where we are at right now,” said Troy Walker. “But we have to stay focused and make some noise in the playoffs.”

Next, the Blue Devils will host Williamsburg on Tuesday in hopes of putting themselves back in the running for the ICC title.
