Jim Gregory, the state representative of the 80th Legislative District, read to Myers Elementary students Monday.

Gregory showed up to read to young students at BA for National Read Across America Day, or better know as Dr. Seuss day. He even donned the classic Dr. Seuss hat to capture the spirit of the day.

The event was the kickoff for Read Across America Month.

After reading to the kids, Gregory went to the Imagination zone, a maker space for students to express themselves and their creativity.

“They enjoyed it. The kids got to ask him some questions and listen to him speak. It was nice,” said Mrs. Angela Coleman, a second grade teacher who hosted Gregory in her room for reading.
