Two weeks ago, the Bellwood-Antis cross country team participated in the ICC Championships at Juniata Valley, placing third place at the meet behind Northern Bedford and West Branch. Senior Kenny Robison came in second place with a time of 18:40 and junior Caden Poe finished 7th.

Despite the boys placing third in the ICC meet, they were still the number one team in the ICC. This was a huge accomplishment for the boys, making this their first conference title in more than a decade.

The boys finished with a record of 7-2 on the season.

“I’m so proud of our team,” said Robison. “This is our first conference win in 12 years, and I’m glad I was able to be a part of it.”

With Kenny graduating the Blue Devils will look to Caden Poe to be their leader and top runner next season. Poe was also very proud of the ICC victory.

“It felt great,” said Poe. “We went into the season thinking the ICC would go to Northern Bedford, so when we beat them we were all really pumped.”
