Football team carves pumpkins with life skills program

Life skills students spent Thursday carving pumpkins with football players.

Bellwood-Antis football players helped life skills students carve jack o lanterns on Thursday.

It is a part of a program partnering Mrs. Shannon Elder’s life skills class with Coach Nick Lovrich’s senior football players. The two groups have teamed up throughout this school year for a unique learning experience.

This is the first year the senior football players got involved with Mrs. Elders class. Mrs. Elder said when the players come visit each day during periods 7 and 8, they play games, assist with academic, and work on developing social skills.

“I love spending time with Mrs. Elder’s students,” said senior Cooper Guyer. “They are a great group of kids that always have a smile on their faces.”

The life skills students include:

Jacob Miller, Vincent Daughenbaugh, Noah Larson, Parker Lucas, and Frankie Pulcinello.

Buddies include:

Cooper Keen, Cooper Guyer, Dallas Smithmyer, Aarron Laird, Eli Pluebell, Ethan Norris, And Gavin Ridgeway.
