Cheerleaders had a blast at the dance for Dominick DeVecchis.

The Bellwood-Antis Cheerleaders hosted a Halloween costume dance on October 25, 2014 at the Bellwood-Antis High School gymnasium.

The dance was way to raise money for a six year old boy with a rare cancer.

His name is Dominick DeVecchis, and he has Osteosarcoma. He has a tumor on his femur.

Senior cheerleader Angelee McAlkich said, “The cheerleaders want to bring Dominick and his family a new hope.”

All the money collected will be donated to Dominick and his family.

Senior cheerleader Kayla Kustaborder said, “I think it’s a great way for the school to come together for a good cause. It is great that we can try to work together to help Dominick and his family.”

“We are trying to encourage as many people as we can, but that is one of the challenges that come with the dance,” said Angelee McAlkich.

There were drinks and snacks and contests for best couple, scariest, most creative, and cutest. There was $10 gift cards to Sheetz as prizes given towards the end of the dance.

Angelee McAlkich and Adam Bowers won the costume contest for best couple. Ryen Beam won scariest costume.  Jules Lusk won most creative costume. Sapphire McCready won cutest costume.

There was punch, scary decorations, cookies, pretzels and gobs. There were many desserts that were also donated.

The cheerleaders are collecting any donations this week to give to Dominick and his family.
