“The band program is careful about distancing since students must take masks off to play their instruments,” said band director Mr. Patrick Sachse. “Performers will be spread across the stage as much as possible.”

Mr. Sachse said the musicians will  perform traditional versions of most standard tunes, including: “Jingle Bells,” “Up on the Housetop,” “Silent Night,” “We Wish you a Merry Christmas,” and “Its Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas.”

Fifth and 6th grade has one piece with an electronic background track and is doing a “rock and roll set” of several Christmas classics.

7th and 8th will be playing some features from classic Christmas cartoons like “Frosty the Snowman” and “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.”

The high school performance includes a Brazilian Samba and music from Tim Burton’s “Nightmare Before Christmas.”
