Avery Turek: A voice so high it’s like a tea pot
March 31, 2022
Avery Turek, who also plays Mrs. Potts, the tea pot, in the Bellwood-Antis choral department’s upcoming production of Beauty and the Beast, has been ready for her role from early on.
Turek has been performing since she was the age of three. Most of her musical back round comes from her father Ben Turek being in a band when he was in college.
The first play she ever performed was “a sparkle bride at the Mishler in the 3rd grade.” Her first play here at B-A was Annie in the 3rd grade, and that was where her career took off.
When assessing this year’s performance, Avery noted that there were a few more people on the roster early on, and now they have opted out of the performance.
Despite kids dropping out, director Ms.Hull only had good things to say about the play stating, “The entire cast, every rehearsal, has improved over each month. The musical will be great and beneficial to the community and the school district.”
This year’s Beauty and the Beast performance will be taking place on May 12,13,14. Make sure to come out and support our school and all the kids hard work on doing the play.
