After graduation from Bellwood-Antis, Lewis attended Penn State for engineering and moved to California to start his career as a financial advisor.

“Coming back to the place that I spent my formative years is special,” said Lewis, “Bellwood is a wonderful place. The community and the schools have shaped me into the person I am today.”

Lewis’ career in finance started by working at large companies for 10 years, including Morgan Stanley and Smith Barney.  In 2007, Lewis opened his own investment firm outside of San Francisco, Lewis Asset Management.

Lewis stated that his firm “helps individuals and small business owners plan for their financial future.  I provide financial planning and asset management services to a wide array of clients.”

Despite living in California, his ties with BA have still remained strong, with his family sponsoring a scholarship, the David L. Lewis Family Scholarship,  awarded annually at the honors banquet. Lewis said the family has always believed that education is the foundation of a better future.

This year’s $1,500 award went to Ethan Brown.

Returning for commencement, which is scheduled for Memorial Stadium, will be special for Lewis, who still thinks fondly of his time at B-A.

“My fondest memories of high school are the lifetime friends I have made.  I’m 48 and I still am very close with friends that I made from elementary school,” Lewis said.
