Jordan Hescox makes a stop against Glendale.

After starting out with a loss to Tyrone, the Blue Devils bounced back against Glendale with a 27-0 win. They started out the game strong and never took their foot off the breaks. 

Quarterback Gaven Ridgway had an impressive game throwing for 158 yards and 3 touchdowns with 1 interception. Senior running back Nick Kost ran the ball for 45 yards and picked up his first rushing touchdown of the season. 

Dylan Andrews had another impressive game where he had 4 receptions for 112 yards and 3 touchdowns. Dylan also had an interception on the defensive side. 

There was no let up on the defensive side either. The Blue Devils didn’t allow any points the whole game. Senior Andrew Nycum had a fumble recovery and 4 tackles. Dylan Andrews had an interception to stop the Vikings driving down the field. 

Senior Gaven Ridgway says it felt great to be back and playing at home. He says that the team got a lot of momentum after the win against Glendale. The game gave the Blue Devils a lot of motivation for this Friday night’s game. 

Bellwood-Antis looks to improve to 2-1 as they prepare for their next game Friday night against Curwensville. The game is home and kickoff is at 7.
