The Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils are looking to go 2-0 in the Inter-County Conference as they prepare for Curwensville this Friday. The Blue Devils are putting the pieces together at the right time, as they picked up a win against Glendale last Friday.

Curwensville is 2-0 and 1-0 in the conference. This game will give an advantage to the winning team as they will go ahead and take the top spot in the I.C.C.

The Golden Tide is a powerhouse on the offensive side. They have over 300 rushing yards and 500 passing yards in 2 games. The Blue Devils will have to be ready to stop the run and the pass.

Curwensville quarterback Dan McGarry has thrown the ball for 534 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. The Blue Devil defense has only allowed 27 total points in the season, and all of them came in Week 1 against Tyrone. Last game, the defense had a shutout against Glendale. The defense is preparing the same way for Curwensville to hold them to minimal points.

B-A’s offense exploded last week as the combination of quarterback Gaven Ridgway and receiver Dylan Andrews continued to click. Ridgway has completed 15 of 31 passes for 263 yards. Andrews has caught most of those passes, pulling in 8 grabs for 164 yards.

The Blue Devils will be missing three players due to COVID. The Blue Devils will have to have a strong offensive game to counter the Golden Tide’s defense.

Bellwood-Antis is excited to play in front of their home crowd at Memorial Stadium for the second straight week.
