Eighty students, staff, and community members gathered Wednesday morning for the  annual See You at the Pole event, sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

The event started at 7 a.m. at the flagpole in front of the high school’s main entrance, and ended with a prayer circle in the field between Myers Elementary and the high school.

The FCA’s advisor, Mr. Lovrich, thinks that the student leaders did a great job of running the event.

“It was a great event. A lot of community members that attended said that it is great to see our young people step up when it comes to their faith,” he said.

See You at the Pole first began in 1990, with ten students praying at their school. Now, it is an international tradition that millions have carried on. Those who come to the event are devoting their morning to lifting  spirits and taking a moment of prayer.

This year’s members who took part in leading the event were Caleb Beiswenger, Lexi Lovrich, Olivia Gregg, Ava Miller, Corry Shanafelt, and Lydia Worthing.
