Senior running back Nick Kost has been making his presence known on the football field.

Nick ran the ball for 123 yards as B-A picked up a win against Mount Union last Friday.

Because of Nick’s outstanding performance Friday and throughout the season, Nick has been awarded the BluePrint’s Athlete of the Week.

On the season, Nick has run the ball for 66 yards a game with 6 rushing touchdowns.  Het has a total 467 rushing yards on 82 carries and 51 receiving yards on 7 receptions for 2 touchdowns.

Nick is also the kicker for Bellwood-Antis.

Head Coach Nick Lovrich says, “Nick has been running the ball very hard. He is following his blockers and hitting the hole very hard. Nick isn’t like other young running backs. H e stays inside between the tackles and doesn’t look to go outside right away. He is doing a really great job for us.”

Nick says that in the offseason he only missed 2 conditioning practices, which is why he has been able to run by everyone on the field. Nick’s pregame routine consists of doing a quick yoga session with Dylan Andrews. On away games Nick tries to hype the team up in whatever way he can.

Nick’s favorite part of the season is going to the locker room after a win and partying. He said that it felt good to beat Mount Union because they wanted to beat us so badly.

The football team travels to Moshannon Valley next Friday. Good luck to Nick and the rest of the team.
