Tonight the Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis girls soccer co-op team plays the Central Dragons in the district 6 2a semifinal. The girls played Forest Hills in the first round of the playoffs last week where they defeated the Rangers 3-2.

The girls have a record of 13-6 while the Central Dragons are 10-0. The game tonight is at Mansion Park in Altoona, and starting time is at 8.

This is the second straight year the girls have made the semifinals. Last year they made it as far as the championship game where they lost to Hollidaysburg 2-1.

This game would mean a lot to the team because if they win they would automatically get into the state playoffs.

Senior Alyson Partner says that this game is going to be a challenge, but “we are looking forward to it.”

“We are ready and we have been working really hard for this game,” she said.
