The Bellwood-Antis boys’ basketball team fell to Tyrone 64-25 on Saturday in Tyrone.

After  a 53-46 loss to Cambria Heights earlier in the week, the Blue Devils were eager to take on the Golden Eagles.

Tyrone led 18-6 in the first quarter, which quickly jumped to 30-11 at halftime. By the end of the third quarter, the mercy rule clock was running and continued for the remainder of the game.

By the end of the fourth quarter, Tyrone was ahead by almost 40.

Senior Caleb Beiswenger led the team with 10 points, followed by junior Corry Shanafelt with 8, and Anthony Carraciola with 4.

The Devils will travel to Juniata Valley on December 12, looking to turn the page in their season. The remainder of the season will mostly include teams from their conference.

“Our main goal for the season is to win the conference, so this game is super important to get us on the right track,” said senior Caleb Beiswenger. “It’s a rivalry game, and it will always be intense.”
