Last night the Lady Devils took a 52-48 win over Juniata Valley. Bellwood-Antis took an early lead going up by 7 to end the first quarter. Juniata Valley kept the game close until the end.

With 6:32 left in the game the Lady Devils took a 10 point lead with a 3-pointer from Leigha Clapper and were ready to put the game away. Juniata Valley responded quickly on a 9-0 run to bring the game within a single point. After missed free throws, the Hornets were given a chance to win the game, but an illegal screen was called with only seconds remaining.

Senior Chelsea McCaulsky was given another chance at the foul line to put the game away. After making the first and missing the second, senior Lydia Worthing was able to tip the ball back to Chelsea where she sealed the game with a layup as time expired.

Lydia Worthing finished the game with 16 points and 10 rebounds and Chelsea McCualsky had 12 points. Also helping the team was Leigha Clapper who had 15 points.

The Lady Devils are now 11-3 but still remain 2nd in the ICC North right behind Williamsburg. The teams next game is Saturday

as they host Everett. The varsity game starts at 1:30.
