Bocce team gets ready for playoffs

On Wednesday, the Unified Bocce team had its last match of the regular season. It was Senior Night for B-A, where three seniors were recognized, including Gaven Ridgway, Tighe Eaken, and Lexi Lovrich.
Bellwood-Antis lost the match 2-0 to Central. The Devils’ record now is 3-3 and they are currently 4th in the rankings. B-A will go to playoffs for the District championship on February 21.
“We know we are the best team. We are better than our record. We already booked our hotel to stay in Chocolate World for the state championship,” says Tighe Eaken.
B-A has had a unified bocce team since 2018 and is seeking its first championship. The PIAA sport is run in conjunction with Special Olympics.
