The Lady Devils are back in the ICC playoffs looking to avenge their loss from last year’s conference championship game.

The two-day ICC tournament begins with boys and girls semifinals on Friday.

Bellwood-Antis enters the conference semifinals as the two seed in the North side of the bracket. They play Southern Huntingdon in the first round on Friday 2/17 at Claysburg-Kimmel.

“The ICC championships are something that we have been apart of since we have entered the league and we’ve done pretty well in past years. Last year we came short of the championship, but this year is a new year and we are looking to win both the semifinals and the championship to get us on a consistent track for playoffs,” says McCaulsky

Bellwood-Antis is the favorite to win the first round of the playoffs, but then will most likely play Williamsburg in the championship game. B-A hasn’t been able to beat Williamsburg since their home meeting last season, amounting to a 4-game losing streak.

The Lady Pirates will face Northern Bedford in the first round.

The Lady Devils go into Friday’s game with a record of 18-4 compared to Southern Huntingdon’s record of 17-4 with one more regular season game against McConnellsburg.

“These next games for the ICC championship won’t be easy, but we have been working hard and we are ready. These games will help us prepare for the District playoffs,” said Chloe Hammond when asked about if there will be a challenge in the ICC playoffs.

Bellwood-Antis is averaging 60 points per game, shooting 39% from the field. They are also averaging 34 rebounds per game and 11 turnovers per game.
