On Saturday, March 18 from 8 a.m.-12 noon, the Bellwood-Antis High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will be hosting a vegetable seed packing event in the middle school cafeteria.

During the packing event, FCA will be packing seeds into envelopes to send to third world countries, providing resources needed for these villages.

They are currently looking for volunteers to help the packing. This event is open to anyone who is willing to help support FCA and these countries in need. Anyone below 12 will need a parent/guardian accompanying them.

If you would like to volunteer to assist with the packing effort, fill out this online form.

The seed-packing program is being done through an organization called Unto.

Unto is a Christian organization dedicated to helping impoverished people around the world. According to its website, one its its main functions is to allow people to “express the kindness of Jesus to people living in the toughest places on earth by relieving suffering, restoring dignity, and revealing hope.”

It accomplishes its mission in three ways: Food and Agriculture, Clean Water, and Critical Aid.

B-A FCA members have been fundraising for several months to raise the $10,000 needed to purchase seeds.

If you would like to volunteer to help, contact Mr. Nick Lovrich, FCA advisor, at [email protected].
