Myers hosting the Someone Special Dance

The hallways to the elementary gym are being decked out in preparation for Thursday’s Something Special dance.

This Thursday, March 16, Myers Elementary School will be hosting the ‘Someone Special dance,’ which is mainly in honor of Maddie Shura. All 3rd grade students and 4th grade students are allowed to attend and are expected to bring an adult guest, like a parent or big brother or sister.

The dedication of Maddie Shura should be taken into everyone’s thoughts while donations at the door are being accepted for DIPG awareness. DPIG is a form of cancer that took the life of Shura when she was in second grade in 2018.

The dance will be held from 6:00pm – 7:30pm in the elementary gym. The dance will include a photo booth, dancing, and refreshments. 80’s Glow Party is the theme so it’d be more appropriate to dress your best!

All students are required to have a chaperone who is 18 years or older and will accompany the student throughout the dance. No student is allowed to be dropped off alone.
