Olivia Rodda has loved drawing for her whole life.

Sophomore artist, Olivia Rodda, recently secured herself a seat at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for art classes. Her artwork went through a selective process and was ultimately chosen to get a spot in the school.

Olivia will be taking the classes virtually, and for the subject of character design.

She’s loved drawing for her whole life, from sketching flowers with her mother to watching videos to try to learn more. Although she’s gone through “more than obstacles”, what’s always remained is Olivia’s unwavering dedication to art.

Olivia was made aware of the opportunity by Mrs. McNaul, the high school art teacher, and was “amazed” to find out that she was selected.

“I had went to Mrs. McNaul to pick up an art piece I made, and she explained the classes and how she’s seen my dedication to art work, and that I had earned it,” recalled Olivia.

She can’t wait to begin the classes, and she’s glad that she never gave up on her dreams.

“…no matter how hard things seem, giving up isn’t an option,” she quoted.
