New Teacher: Miss Glass

New+Teacher%3A+Miss+Glass

Miss Glass joined Bellwood in early fall as a sixth grade teacher.

“Here at Bellwood there are fewer students and teachers,” Miss Glass commented. This opened up a great opportunity for Miss Glass to get to know all of the sixth grade students.  She especially likes the blue and gold colors of our school. Miss Glass exclaimed, “The merch is going to look great!”

This wonderful teacher has taught in a few different elementary schools in State College. She also taught ELA in the Altoona Area School District. Miss Glass taught mostly 4th and 5th grade; along with STEM.

Her favorite thing about teaching is seeing when a ‘kid’s light bulb goes off’. They then make the connection of what they are learning to something they previously knew.

Miss Glass loves Bellwood so far and would like to run or advise some clubs, activities, or even field trips. She believes she may do it when she gets acclimated a little more, and after she learns more about the school and how it works.

She would like to thank the newspaper for coming and interviewing her and for all that we do. She wants to let everyone know that she’s really excited about being at the Bellwood-Antis Middle School.
