Alia Bennet is this week’s featured student. Alia is a junior at BAHS and furthers her participation within the school each year.
Musical theatre has been Alia’s passion since she could sing and act. So she continues to be involved in the Musical Theatre Department and Chorus department since she began high school.
Bennett is also involved in volleyball. She has been playing since she was a freshman at BAHS.
Aside from sports and passions, she has a favor for theatre class because she feels it endures her future. Theatre class is taught by Mr. Logue, who also teaches chorus.
Bennett has been a part of the high school’s musical theatre performance since freshman year. In 2023 she was part of a great cast in Grease as an ensemble member. She was also a member of 2024’s Bye Bye Birdie ensemble, and this year she takes a step up into the musical Shrek, playing Mama Bear.
Alia says she has a memorable class of History Through Film that associates with her strength in theatre works. She greatly emphasizes the thematic aspects in history.
After graduation Alia hopes to pursue a career in psychology and theatre in college, and become a psychologist.
