Comic book artist, graphic designer, landscape architect, and professional nice guy. All of these things could easily be in Joe Beam’s future, but for right now he is this month’s Super Senior.

Joe’s birthday is on August 15 and he is 17 years old. His favorite song is Wet Sand by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and his favorite movie is Wolf of Wall street.  He is the son of Christy and Jason Beam and the older brother of Ryan and Jordyn Beam.

Outside of school, Joe spends his time working at Marzoni’s, hanging out with friends, playing video games, and drawing… a lot. He is very artistic and said that he really enjoys drawing. “I think it’s cool,” said Joe, “I’m never bored as long as I have a paper and a pencil. I can always be creative and express myself.”

“I really enjoyed having Joe in class,” said Miss Trostle, “Besides being a really nice kid and very bright, he is incredibly creative and artistically talented.”

Joe said his favorite class is physics because it is very different than all of his other classes. After high school he plans to attend college at Penn State for landscape architecture.

“I know I am going to miss how everyone knows each other here,” said Joe. “College will be totally different.”

“My favorite BAHS memories are all the good times with my friends,” said Joe. “And I am still looking forward to the rest of my senior.”

Joe said he anticipates prom and being able to relax and enjoy the end of the year.

Joe said he has changed a lot during his time at BAHS.

“My interests have changed, the things I do, the music I listen to, and the people I hang out with,” he said.

When asked who has influenced him positively at BA, Joe replied with, “Mr. Partner, because he is just a good dude.”
