The Bellwood- Antis music department will perform Shrek the Musical on March 27,28 and 29. The BluePrint will be highlighting cast and crew members in the days leading up to the raising of the curtains.
The play based in the hit movie Shrek. It follows the tale of the ogre Shrek, who goes on a life-changing journey alongside a wise- cracking donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue.
The play is directed by Molly Burns. Mr. Logue is the music director while Mr. Sachse is the orchestra director.

The Blueprint will be featuring members of the cast, today we focus on Gianna Juart who plays Fiona.
Mrs. Burns said GiGi was the “perfect person” to fill the role of Fiona.
“She’s sweet and kind with a little spunk,” Mrs. Burns said. “I have seen GiGi grow from a somewhat shy actor on stage to one who is so confident and commanding! I know audiences will fall in love with her. I’m beyond proud of her commitment, dedication, and growth over the past few years.”
Blueprint: What role do you play?
Gianna: Fiona.
Blueprint: How long have you been in the musical?
Gianna: 4 years.
Blueprint: What are you looking forward most to?
Gianna: I’m looking forward to preform in front of everyone with our final product.
Blueprint: What makes you want to join the musical?
Gianna: Acting with my friends.
Blueprint: did you enjoy Shrek before the musical?
Gianna: yes.
Blueprint: Who is your favorite character in the musical and why?
Gianna: I enjoy Halee’s part, her song “Forever”, is absolutely amazing.
Blueprint: What is your biggest challenge with the musical?
Gianna: My biggest challenge this year is staying in character.
Blueprint: What is the best thing about being in the musical to you?
Gianna: Hanging out with my friends and seeing how the show comes together.
Blueprint: Who helped you the most throughout getting the musical set up?
Gianna: Molly, Halee and Derek helped me the most.
Blueprint: What would you tell people who are interested in joining the musical?
Gianna: Do it! You only have one life! Get out of your comfort zone by trying something new.
