This school year, Bellwood is excited to introduce a brand-new dance team and dance club!
Miss Poplin, a 7th grade teacher, shared, “I wanted to start a dance team when I became a teacher.” Thanks to support from Mr. Sachse, that dream has become a reality.
The dance club, open to 7th and 8th graders, focuses on building foundational skills. Students practice techniques such as across-the-floor exercises and occasionally rehearse choreography used by the dance team.
The dance team, which includes students from 7th through 12th grade, offers a more performance-focused experience. While the club works on technique, the team is preparing to shine on the field with choreographed routines and school spirit.
