The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is a distinguished club built on five core pillars: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Citizenship, and Character. Students must uphold each of these qualities not only to be inducted, but also to remain active members throughout the year.
This year, our NJHS chapter includes 12 dedicated students. The club is led by a strong group of officers: Bella Wilkinson serves as president, Lucille Damiano as vice president, Callie Miller as secretary, and Finley McClellan as treasurer. Together, they help guide the club’s activities and uphold its values.
NJHS is far more than a recognition of good grades or positive behavior. Members actively contribute to the school and community through meaningful service. Students volunteer at places such as the Bellwood Library, offering their time to support local programs and events. Within the school, NJHS members assist with major activities including the talent show and the Bellwood Ball, helping ensure these events run smoothly and successfully. Each year, NJHS continues to inspire younger students and strengthen the culture of service within our school.
NJHS remains a cornerstone of academic excellence and community involvement. Through their commitment to the five pillars, our members set an example for the entire student body. As this year’s group continues to lead and serve, they carry forward a tradition of responsibility, kindness, and dedication that will leave a lasting impact on our school.
