Bellwood-Antis track members place in Igloo Meet
On Saturday the Igloo Meet in Altoona lived up to its name.
Although the weather was frightfully cold some Bellwood-Antis boys’ track team members placed in the Invitational.
The 400 meter relay team of Kyler Lardieri, Nathan Davis, Matt McMillian, and Jake Burch took first place with a time of 46.5.
The 1600 meter relay team of Noah D’Angelo, Jake Burch, Matt McMillian, and Kyler Lardieri placed second.
“I thought our kids did really well. They do not separate by class at this meet so we were running against the big schools and the weather was one of the coldest meets I have ever been to, so to do what we did was great,” said Coach Nick Lovrich.
McMillian also placed 2nd in 300 meter hurdles and 3rd place in 110 meter hurdles.
D’Angelo got fourth place in the 800 meter run.
Derek Swope placed 6th in the 110 meter hurdles and Matt Glunt placed 6th in high jump.
Dallas Huff was in 8th place in 110 meter hurdles and Isaac Mills was in 8th place for the 1600 meter run.
Alayna Roberts took home a sixth-place ribbon on the girls side in the 100 hurdles.
