We all know the name “Fortnite” hasn’t been heard in a while.

After 8 years, the game is finally dying. With many revives throughout the years including OG Fortnite, Reload, Creative, and more–It seems they may have ran out of ideas.

Until recently, Fortnite tried something new with this recently released season.

On November 1st, 2025, Epic games released Fortnite x Simpsons.

The game has changed their entire map, making it “cartoony” and fun. You can now play as all of the beloved Simpson characters.

Yes, you heard that right. I can log into the game and play as Krusty the Clown or Bart Simpson.

Fortnite, once again, has found a way to revive their game and bring in new and old players.

As of about October 2025, Fortnite averaged about 1.04 million players active — That’s an all-time low. After the release of the Fortnite x Simpsons season, it has spiked to over 2.6 million concurrent players.

That is over double the number of players in October. So, you might not have heard the name “Fortnite” in a while, but after this release, there’s a good chance you might hear, “Hop on Fortnite.”

Let’s see how long this will last. I’m sure it will be forgotten about in a few months, maybe even weeks. But that’s what’s different about Fortnite: they always find a way to make a comeback.
