Farewell to Our Guardian: Mr. Jeff Hanna to Retire at the End of the Year
After many years of dedicated service, our beloved security officer, Mr. Jeff Hanna, will be retiring at the end of this school year. For students, teachers, and families, Mr. Hanna has been more than just the person who kept our school safe; he has been a friendly face and a true part of our school family.
Every morning, Mr. Hanna greets students with a smile and a kind word. Rain or shine, he stands at the doors, making sure everyone feels welcome and secure. His commitment to protecting our school has never been in doubt, and his calm presence gives us all peace of mind.
As we look ahead to his retirement, we wish Mr. Hanna joy, relaxation, and plenty of time to enjoy his favorite hobbies. Though we’ll miss seeing him in the hallways next year, his impact will remain with us for years to come.
When asked what he enjoys most about being our security officer, Mr. Hanna doesn’t hesitate: “Interacting with the kids.” He has always tried to connect with students and help them in any way possible.
Before Mr. Hanna came to Bellwood as an employee, he was actually a student here. For him, this upcoming farewell is not only for retirement but also from his alma mater. He says, “I started at Bellwood, and I get to finish up here as well.”
As Mr Hanna leaves he will miss “seeing the friends and missing the interactions with students.
Thank you, Mr. Hanna, for your dedication, your kindness, and your friendship. You will always be part of our school family, and we wish you the very best in your retirement.
