Golf team wins first match of the season

On Thursday, the golf team traveled to King Valley Golf Course with high hopes to have a successful match against Chestnut Ridge. The boys ended up taking the win with a score of 270-275.
After completing 9 holes, Derek Swope led the team with a score of 47. Following right behind him was Collin McCaulley with a score of 52, Blair Poorman with a score of 56, Trent Walker with a score of 57, and Logan Morrison with a score of 58.
When asked about the team’s performance Swope said, “We are pretty good this year. I think we will have a lot better of a season compared to last year.”
The boys’ record is now 1-0 and they hope to continue to have a successful season. Their next match is at The Summit on Monday, August 31.
