The Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis co-op boys’ soccer team has come within a hair of being 4-1 this season.

Yesterday it was a knee. A Tyrone defender had a shot off a corner kick come off his knee in double overtime and land in the Tyrone goal, which ended the game.

They lost with a final score of 3-2 to Clearfield.

It was the Eagles’ second overtime loss this week.

Senior Noah D’Angelo of Bellwood-Antis scored both of the goals for the squad.

“It was a tough game and we just got unlucky in overtime,” said Noah D’Angelo.

D’Angelo scored early to give the team a 1-0 lead, and then tied it late on a penalty kick.

It was a tough loss for the team in a game that most expected them to win.

Their record has now fell to 2-3.  Their next game will be Saturday at Dubious.
