Earlier this onth, Bellwood-Antis’ band was invited to play at Sam’s Club by Mrs. Chrissy Young (Sam’s Club employee).

The event was a promotion to raise breast cancer awareness and funds. It included a pumpkin weight-off and entertainment.

The marching band stood under the awning near the Sam’s Club exit and played. They even had their instrument cases open for people to throw money into! According to band director Mr. Patrick Sachse, the event was great. There were snacks near the band, and they had a strong performance and steady crowd.

All of the money went to breast cancer awareness, and they raised almost $400 dollars.

“We are always happy to be out in the community and help make the world a better place,” said Mr. Sachse.
