The Bellwood-Antis girls’ volleyball team swept Mount Union last night, 25-12, 25-20, 25-12 in their Senior Night.

Abby Luensmann led the Lady Blue Devils with 20 assists, eight kills and four blocks, Sophie Damiano added 15 kills and seven blocks, and Anna Shawley added 15 service points.

The girls’ record has now improved to 12-4 with one week left in the regular season. Their next game is next Tuesday away against Juniata Valley.

Also last night the Tyrone/Bellwood boys’ co-op soccer team tied 1-1 against the Penns Valley Rams in their final regular season game of the year. The game went into double OT and neither of the two teams scored to end the game as a 1-1 tie.

“I’m excited that that wasn’t the last game of my career and we just got to keep playing like it’s our last game,” said senior Noah D’Angelo about his playoff hopes.

Next week begins the first round of playoffs for the boys’ as they look to make a run at the District 6 title.
