Bellwood-Antis Middle School wind energy video

Kara Engle, Staff Writer

Bellwood-Antis fifth grade students have made a Wind Energy video for a contest by the American Wind Energy Association. The group runs a website that provides the latest in wind energy, education, and business.  The fifth grade students need your help.

Part of the judging requires that the video is posted on social media using a special hashtag: #powerofwind. Every like, share, or view is counted as a vote.

Once you vote, encourage everyone on your social media pages to do the same!

A win for Bellwood-Antis could mean a windfall in cash and prizes.

“I think it will benefit the students because if we win the contest we will win $25,000 for new tools and also win a wind mill kit,” said middle school technology teacher Ms. Jamie Forshey.

Mrs. Stephanie Kuhn, a fifth grade teacher, also also thinks this benefits the students.

“It gives them a basic education and gives them a background on wind energy.”
