The boys soccer team saw its season end against Juniata.

The Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis boys’ co-op soccer team lost a heart-breaker in Huntingdon yesterday in the first round of the District 6-AA playoffs. They played the 9-9 Juniata Indians, and lost 3-1.

The boys’ had a tough time getting anything done in the first half and went in down 1-0.  Juniata came out in the second half and scored 2 more goals to extend the lead to 3-0.

The boys’ put up more of a fight in the second and put on more offensive pressure. Amado Cardoza scored the lone goal for the team.

“We underachieved this season,” said senior Noah D’Angelo. “We had really high expectations. Only making the first round of playoffs is rough.  All in all, it was a great seasons and I’ll miss the team.”

This was the final game of the season for the team, ending with a record of 7-8-2. Juniata will now play No. 1 seed Bedford.
