BAMS students continue to collect tabs for a district-wide community service project.

$25,000 for a dog? How can this possibly be? Well, these are not just any ordinary dogs; they are service dogs. B-A students, teachers and staff are trying to help pay for these dogs by collecting soda can tabs for the Service Paws of Central PA (SPCP). The funds will go to the extensive and expensive training of these service pets. So far, the schools are doing fantastic at bringing in the can tabs.

In fact, we had the opportunity to catch up with Mrs. Noonan, organizer of the fundraiser, on one of her morning runs to pick up tabs, and needless to say, we were amazed. To date, the students and teachers have brought in an extraordinary amount of tabs! But we can still do better, so c’mon Bellwood-Antis, bring in those tabs, especially from all of your upcoming holiday gatherings! If you don’t attend a B-A school, then please send in tabs with a student or staff member you know.

Thank you to everyone who has helped us to help this cause!
