PMEA District 6 Music Festivals are continuing this week with the PMEA District 6 Chorus Festival.

The festival is being held at Hollidaysburg Area High School tonight through Friday night, when there will be a concert at 7 p.m. There will be 170 students from 36 schools across the district participating.

The District Chorus Festival will be directed by Doctor Anthony Leach, a professor at Penn State University. Doctor Leach conducts the musical group Essence of Joy on top of being a professor of music and music education.

There are seven students form Bellwood-Antis who auditioned and made it into the festival. Amanda Albright, Emily Hoover, Hannah Hornberger, Kyra Woomer, Robert  VanKirk, Michael Yohn, and Luke Hollingshead will be representing B-A in the festival.

The students will be auditioning again tonight to try and advance past District Chorus and into Regional Chorus.
