Bellwood-Antis had another big game in Mt. Union last week when they defeated the Trojans 71-43.

In the first quarter the Blue Devils dominated on both offense and defense scoring 20 while only allowing Mt. Union to score 9.

“It was important for us to get off to a quick start. Mt. Union is a hard place to play,” said senior Noah D’Angelo.

In the second quarter B-A again went on a scoring frenzy scoring 22 to Mt. Union’s 13. The Blue Devils big first half put them ahead 42-19, and from there they never looked back.

In the second half B-A scored 29 points, 19 in the third and 10 in the fourth, while allowing Mt. Union to only put up 24 in the second half.

Nathan Davis led the team in scoring with 22 points, followed by Joe Padula with 15, and Trent Walker with 10.

The Blue Devils’ next game is Tuesday when they host Glendale and look to improve their record to 19-2.
