The Bellwood-Antis baseball team exploded for 15 hits in a 16-4 drubbing of West Branch yesterday evening.

Jack Showalter and Sawyer Kline each went 4-4. Kline scored 3 times and Showalter scored twice.

‘We got a big win today,” said Showalter. “As a whole, we hit the ball very well and it led us to victory.”

Joey Padula and Ian McFarland led the way with 2 RBI’s apiece.

The rest of the hits were spread out with almost every Devil either scoring a run or collecting a hit.

Cory Parson pitched 5 innings of 6 strikeout ball, allowing only 2 earned runs. His overall record on the year is now 3-2.

“Switching up the lineup gave everyone a better chance to hit the ball. Our defense, for the most part, was pretty sound,” said Parson.

With the conference win, Bellwood’s record rose to 6-5.

Its next game is on Friday, April 22, where they look to avenge an early season loss to Juniata Valley.
